Jan & Andrew Eatock - Darilance Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

We emigrated from England to New Zealand in 2002, bringing with us our 3 male Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chester (blen), Cromwell (tri) and Clayton (b&t).
We have a one and a half acre rural property west of Huntly with very picturesque views across Lake Waahi.
Jan has owned Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels since 1995 and been showing since 1997. She was registered to use the affix 'Darilance' in 1999 by The Kennel Club (UK) and registered this kennel name with The Kennel Club (NZ) in 2002.

We imported 2 bitches into New Zealand from UK in 2003 and 2006, 'NZ Ch Carolus Amethyst for Darilance' and 'NZ Ch Carolus Catrice for Darilance'. We have also imported a dog, 'NZ Ch Merseyport Carter of Darilance' from NSW, Australia in 2007.
At Darilance Cavaliers we realise the importance of keeping to good breed type, size and temperament. Along with this there is a need for good construction and overall confirmation. Having a well balanced sound dog should lead to good movement. Appropriate exercise, both free running and controlled road walking, need to be given to build and keep good muscle tone.
*Update - April 2006* Results for the annual CKCS (UK) Club Healthy Heart Competition - Carolus Kennels came top for the 2nd year running, (having the most dogs over the age of 5 years tested free of MVD.
