Backups
Make sure you have
performed a regular backup. If you don't all your work could be
lost,
all those documents that you have been saving over the last few
weeks and months, gone.
Make sure to keep your backups in a safe place.
Anti-virus
Make sure you have an anti-virus program
installed and updated. These nasties can ruin
your day and your computer, prevention is better than cure and
it will save you money in
the long run.
We use ESET NOD32 anti-virus products and are a Authorised Reseller so contact us to purchase them.
UPS
If you have power problems purchase a UPS. An Uninterruptible
Power Supply (UPS) can
be a good idea if you live rurally, the power dropping out and
coming back on while you are
using the computer can cause major issues. Avoid them with a
UPS. They are easy to install
and normally don't cost much
Only install programs you trust
Do not believe all you read on the internet, it is so easy to click away on various websites.
Before you know it you could have a dangerous program installed and asking for your credit card
details to "fix" all those problems it has found, some are not easy to get rid when installed
